The small town of Toksook Bay, Alaska, is a place of beginnings. 

It’s where Yup’ik musician Byron Nicholai was born, and where he honed his craft to become one of Alaska’s youngest, best-known  musicians. It’s also the first community in America counted by the 2020 Census. -40*F and blizzarding didn’t stop either one.
